The world’s largest motion-picture exhibitor says fourth-quarter profits rose 30 percent due in part to an increase in revenue from admissions and concessions.

Regal Entertainment said Thursday that it earned $30.1 million, or 20 cents a share, up from $23.2 million, or 15 cents a share, a year earlier.

Excluding a deal with Centennial-based National CineMedia and one-time items, Regal earned $28.1 million, or 18 cents a share. Revenue rose 19 percent to $711.7 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters predicted profit of 26 cents a share and $721.6 million in revenue.
