FORT CARSON, Colo.—The Pueblo Chieftain says the top civilian overseeing the proposed expansion of the Pinon Canyon training site has been temporarily reassigned amid an administrative investigation.

The Chieftain quoted Army officials as saying the reassignment of Tom Warren has nothing to do with the proposed expansion.

No details of the investigation were immediately available. An Army spokeswoman didn’t immediately return a call from The Associated Press Thursday. A phone message left for Warren wasn’t immediately returned.
