The search for a missing Boulder architect has gone digital in a big way.

Greg Franta, 58, a vice president with the Rocky Mountain Institute, has been missing for more than two weeks. Police and his family are searching for him and for leads to his whereabouts.

To aid in the search, a national outdoor advertising and marketing firm is donating electronic billboard space about Franta as a public service.

A digital “missing person” poster of Franta is being displayed high above South Colorado Boulevard near Interstate 25 for eight hours a day, said Jeremiah Keelan, a Lamar Outdoor Advertising spokesman.

The company cooperates with authorities in posting Amber Alerts, Crime Stoppers information and missing-person reports, Keelan said. The poster of Franta rotates with three advertisements, and thousands of drivers and passers-by see it on a 14-foot-by-48-foot board high above the boulevard.
