Namaste Solar CEO Blake has been having “Tuesdays with Barry.”

Jones, who introduced President Barack Obama before the economic- stimulus bill signing in Denver last week, was among the president’s guests in Washington on Tuesday night. Jones was seated in the box with first lady Michelle Obama and described the night as “amazing.”

“It was so inspiring to hear that energy is one of his top three priorities,” Jones said afterward. “No one has talked about clean energy the way the president did tonight. It was music to my ears.”

The 34-year-old Boulder businessman got the plug of a lifetime a week earlier when he introduced Obama before the president signed the $787 billion stimulus package at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.

Namaste, which Jones founded with two partners, employs 55 people and has installed more than 600 solar systems statewide. The Denver Post
