GOLDEN, Colo.—No injuries are reported after a shuttle bus caught fire while hauling casino patrons back to Denver from the gambling towns of Black Hawk and Central City.

The fire broke out about 6:30 p.m. Monday as the bus was headed east on U.S. 6.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Ryan Sullivan says the fire appeared to have started in the brakes, and flames quickly engulfed the bus.

The driver of the Coach USA bus and the six passengers on board escaped unharmed.

The fire closed the highway for several hours while firefighters put out the blaze and cleaned up the mess.

Another bus arrived to take the passengers back to Denver.
