Two men and two boys have been detained for investigation of two separate church burglaries in Fort Collins, authorities say.
Ward Richard Young, 46, is under investigation for the Oct. 19, burglary of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 305 E. Elizabeth St., said Rita Davis, Fort Collins police spokeswoman.
Young has been in custody at the Larimer County Detention Center since Jan. 12 on an outstanding warrant on other unrelated charges from Adams County, Davis said.
In a separate church burglary investigation, two 13-year-old boys and Derek Michael Modak, 28, of Grand Junction has been detained for investigation in the Jan. 16 burglary of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1709 W. Elizabeth St., Davis said.
Modak is under investigation for burglary, contributing to the delinquency of minor, and theft, Davis said.
Two 13 year-old juvenile males have each been issued a summons for burglary in the Westminster Presbyterian Church burglary and have been released to their parents, she said.
Modak was arrested in Grand Junction and was transferred to the Larimer County Detention Center on Feb. 13, Davis said.
