The Denver Post was chosen among the best nationally in Sunday, daily and special section categories for 2008 by judges at the Associated Press Sports Editors meeting that concluded Wednesday in Las Vegas. The Post was picked top 10 in Sunday sections, and top 20 in daily and special sections in the over-250,000 circulation category, the second year in a row it was honored in all three categories.

The Post’s Mark Kiszla was chosen among the nation’s top 10 columnists for large circulation newspapers. The Post’s Broncos reporter, Mike Klis, was honored in the top 10 for breaking news, for a story he co-wrote with metro reporter Joey Bunch about the indictment in the Darrent Williams murder investigation. The 2008 Rockies baseball preview was voted into the top 20.
