ADAMS COUNTY — A man was shot early Wednesday during an apparent carjacking in Adams County.
The incident happened about 2 a.m. in the 7500 block of Broadway, said Sgt. Candi Baker, an Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
The shooting victim told sheriff’s deputies that two men stole his 1999 Chevrolet Suburban.
Deputies spotted the vehicle and pursued it to West 70th Avenue and Avrum Drive, where a suspect jumped out and escaped.
Details on the whereabouts of the second suspect were not available.
The unidentified shooting victim was taken to a local hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.
