After a years-long hiatus that saw Gwen Stefani become a bonafide star solo performer, No Doubt announced a 45-date summer tour on Wednesday morning that will see the multiplatinum ska-pop four-piece playing arenas and amphitheaters – including a date at Greenwood Village’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre on May 27.
The Grammy-winning band last played Colorado in November of 2002, a big show at the Denver Coliseum on the heels of its 2001 “Rocksteady” release. The band hasn’t released a record of original material since “Rocksteady.” Instead No Doubt singer Stefani has spent that time creating a solo career, and she wowed Denver audiences with solo shows in October of 2005 at Magness Arena and a few years later in May of 2007 at the Pepsi Center.
Opening this summer’s Denver date is Paramore and the Sounds. Tickets, which range from $10 lawn seats to $70 pit passes, go on sale at 10 a.m. March 7 via Ticketmaster outlets.
