OMAHA, Neb.—Former Nebraska football player Willie Miller has been found guilty of criminal mischief in a road-rage incident.

A Douglas County jury on Thursday also found Miller not guilty of first-degree assault.

Omaha police officer Larry Lacoma has said he saw Miller’s vehicle make a reckless lane change in west Omaha on April 8. The off-duty officer honked at Miller, then noticed Miller following him a short time later. He said Miller rammed him at a high speed from behind, pushing his vehicle 40 to 50 feet and causing him to hit a minivan.

Miller’s sentencing is scheduled for May. He faces 20 to 60 months in prison or up to five years’ probation.

Miller played fullback for the Cornhuskers from 1997 to 2000.
