Three people are dead after separate accidents early Saturday in Colorado.
In Grand Junction, police say 20-year-old Derrick Maxfield of Parachute was jailed after a crash around 1 a.m. that killed two people and injured two people. He was jailed after being released from the hospital.
He faces two counts of vehicular homicide and charges of vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, driving under the influence and speeding. He also is accused of a red light violation.
Near Fort Lupton, the State Patrol says, 25-year-old Ever I. Soledas-Tena of Platteville died after a rollover crash on Colorado 85. Troopers say alcohol may have contributed to the accident.
