LAWRENCE, Kan.—Danielle McCray scored 18 points and captured six rebounds to lead Kansas to a 70-57 victory over Nebraska on Saturday night.
McCray was one of four players scoring in double-digits for the Jayhawks (16-11, 5-9 Big 12). Sade Morris had 15 points, Aisha Sutherland had 12 and Ivana Catic had 10. Sutherland also finished with eight rebounds.
Cory Montgomery led the scoring for the Cornhuskers (13-14, 4-10) with 20 points while Dominique Kelley added 12 and Catheryn Redmon had 10.
Nebraska had a 31-28 lead at the half but got swamped in the second period as Kansas outscored them 42-26.
The Kansas defense also took better advantage of several miscues by Nebraska, scoring 24 points off turnovers, compared with Nebraska’s 11.
