VENICE, Neb.—Nebraska anglers can get a jump on fishing season when Two Rivers State Recreation Area opens for trout fishing on March 14.
More than 10,000 rainbow trout were stocked in the popular fishing spot near Venice. The Two Lakes trout lake will be open from 7 a.m. to sunset daily.
Anglers must have a Nebraska fishing license and a daily trout tag to fish there. The tags are available from the Two Rivers office for $4 each. Each tag allows the harvesting of up to four trout. Anglers can purchase up to three tags each day.
Catch-and-release fishing is prohibited at the Two Rivers trout lake.
