DENVER—Gov. Bill Ritter has approved 30 more transportation projects worth a total of $194 million to be funded through the federal stimulus plan.
Most of the projects approved Friday are in the Denver area, including $33 million for repaving C-470 in Douglas County, $18 million for redeveloping Union Station into a regional transportation hub and $22 million for replacing the Interstate 25 bridge over Santa Fe Drive in Denver.
Ritter has now approved a total of 48 transportation projects worth a combined $339 million using stimulus money
The Colorado Department of Transportation expects to begin advertising projects for contractor bidding next week.
