BETHESDA, Md. — He may be the president, but he’s still a dad.
President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama took a break from a busy Friday afternoon to go to a parent-teacher conference for their daughter Sasha. The first parents took a quick motorcade from the White House, arriving at the Sidwell Friends School in Bethesda about 20 minutes later.
Their motorcade rolled through city streets that police had blocked off to other traffic.
Crowds of pedestrians lined up on a warm Friday afternoon and cheered the motorcade as it swept through the city.
Sasha, 7, has been attending the school since earlier this year.
