TUCSON, Ariz.—Todd Helton blasted a two-run homer and Ryan Spilborghs had an RBI double to help the Colorado Rockies beat the San Diego Padres 4-2 Sunday.
The win is the Rockies’ third straight this spring training.
Helton’s 450-feet homer came on his first plate appearance of the spring after having offseason back surgery. Pitcher Greg Reynolds started for Colorado after Greg Smith was benched with flu-like symptoms. Reynolds gave up five hits but no runs in four innings.
San Diego’s Matt Antonelli went 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI. Chris Burke was 2 for 3, while Nick Hundley had a triple and scored a run.
