BARNSTABLE, Mass. — An explosion rocked a Massachusetts animal hospital before a fire erupted, but a veterinarian saved many of the dogs in an adjacent kennel.
Neighbors said vet Scott Munson of Cape Cod Animal Hospital in Barnstable tried to enter the clinic but was driven back by flames. He was able to rescue the dogs by breaking an adjacent kennel door with a cinder block, allowing the animals to run out.
There were no reports of injuries to people.
