MONTROSE, Colo.—A Ridgway man accused in the death of a man whose burned body was discovered near a landfill has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jeremy Hodges entered his plea Monday morning in Montrose County District Court in the death of Steven Kublin.

The body of the 50-year-old Kublin was found burned on a trail near a Montrose landfill in November 2006.

An eight-day trial is set to begin Dec. 1.
