Speaking of McNulty, he spoke to a group of students from Platte River Academy charter eating their sack lunches in the basement. The lawmaker asked if anyone would share.

“I was offered a cup of pudding, a banana and animal crackers,” he reported. “I think all would be Amendment 41 compliant.”

That’s the ethics measure pushed by Jared Polis, now a congressman, and approved by voters in 2006.

McNulty, by the way, declined the goodies and feasted on chicken tacos at a nearby restaurant.
