GREELEY, Colo.—It will be matchup of unbeaten teams in the boys 1A championship game.

Craig Debus scored 13 points to lead a balanced attack as top-seeded Caliche routed Granada 64-47 in the state semifinals Friday night.

Caliche, which led by as many as 22 points, improved to 26-0 and will face undefeated Crested Butte (26-0) in the title game Saturday. Caliche, out of Iliff in northeastern Colorado, advanced to the championship game for the second year in a row. The Buffaloes lost to Hi Plains last year.

Derek Weingardt scored 11 points and Corey Stumpf added 10 points for Caliche, which had seven players with at least six points.

Tyson Thrall and Riley Widener scored 12 points apiece for Granada (21-4), but no other Bobcats player scored more than four.

Aggressive on defense and methodical on offense, Caliche controlled the tempo from the opening tip. Granada was as close as 12-10 early in the game, but never recovered after Caliche went on a 13-0 run late in the first quarter.

Granada held Caliche to only six points in the third quarter, but could not make up much ground—cutting a 21-point halftime deficit to 18 after three quarters.
