Five days after Commerce City police shot two men, one of them fatally, authorities have yet to release the name of the surviving suspect.

The police shootings happened after two men robbed a couple at gunpoint Thursday afternoon after ramming the couple’s SUV with a sedan near East 107th Avenue and Kalispell Street.

Peter S. Ramirez, 23, was killed.

Monday, the Commerce City Police Department referred questions about the incident to the Adams County district attorney’s office.

Krista Flanigan, spokeswoman for District Attorney Don Quick, declined to release the surviving suspect’s name, citing an “ongoing investigation.”

Authorities have not yet said whether the two suspects fired any shots at the pursuing officers, and the officers involved in the shooting have not been identified.
