With today’s heat — and the many concert announcements that came across the wires in the last few hours — you can almost feel the summer concert season approaching.

Here are a few of the bigger shows.

Rod Stewart will be stopping into Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre on July 30. The man who has sold more than 250 million albums will play all the hits — tied into the release of a couple remastered albums coming out this spring, including the MTV “Unplugged” session. Tickets, $29.50-$99.50 (with a $22.25 four-pack on the lawn available), go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.

Celebrating the release of a new EP — the five-song “Open Door” record — Death Cab for Cutie will play Red Rocks on July 14. The opening acts (Andrew Bird and Ra Ra Riot) will help make the purchase worthwhile. The prices aren’t yet announced, but tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.

Yanni’s music isn’t for everyone, but his fans are true blue. His Yanni Voices tour will have him accompanied by an orchestra and a stable of singers to complete the experience. Tickets, $29-$95, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ticketmaster.
