A Colorado Springs teenager assaulted his mother after they argued about his marijuana use, police said.
The 15-year-old boy, who was not identified, was arrested by police Sunday, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.
The teen “hit, kicked and choked his mother until she became unconscious,” police said.
The victim was taken by family members to Memorial Hospital where she was treated for her injuries and released, police said.
Her son is being held at the Spring Creek Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, police said.
