SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Boeing Co.’s first batch of 787 Dreamliners will be overweight, trailing airlines’ expectations for performance, said the plane’s biggest customer, Steven Udvar-Hazy, the head of International Lease Finance Corp.
Boeing is putting “a lot of resources” into rectifying the problem and implementing improvements as quickly as possible in the production line, Udvar-Hazy, chief executive of the world’s largest aircraft lessor, said Tuesday in a presentation at an International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.
