BOSTON — NBA scoring leader Dwyane Wade missed Miami’s game against the Celtics on Wednesday night because of a right hip flexor.

Wade had played all 66 games this season, his longest streak of his career, before sitting out. The team did not say how long he would be sidelined, but he wasn’t ruled out of games Friday at New Jersey and Sunday against Detroit.

Ray Allen and Leon Powe of the Celtics also missed the game. Powe probably will miss two weeks with a sprained right knee, while Allen’s hyperextended elbow appears less serious, but he could miss games Friday at San Antonio and Saturday at Memphis.

Footnotes.

Cavaliers forward Wally Szczerbiak could be out three weeks with a sprained knee.

• The Kings were without Kevin Martin (illness) and fellow starter Andres Nocioni (quadriceps) against Charlotte.

• Pistons guard Richard Hamilton sat out a second straight game to rest his strained left groin.

• Nets center Sean Williams was suspended two games by the team after his arrest Monday at a Lone Tree phone store.
