A 17-year-old robber who held up two gas stations and two convenience stores has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck charged the defendant, Julian Gonzales, as an adult in connection with the four robberies that occurred last summer.
Two other juveniles, Christopher Hale, 18, and Fabian Flores, 17, who also were involved, were sentenced earlier.
Hale was sentenced to eight years and Flores to six years. Both pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated robbery.
Gonzales pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, a Class 3 felony.
The series of robberies started on June 16, 2008, when an employee of a 7-Eleven was robbed at knifepoint by the three. The next night, two Sinclair gas stations were robbed by the trio.
During the last robbery, which occurred June 20 at a Kum-N-Go convenience store, the teenagers were armed with a shotgun, a handgun and a knife.
All the robberies occurred in Greeley.
