DENVER—Colorado casino revenues in February were roughly steady with revenues from a year ago.
The state Department of Revenue said Thursday that casinos in Colorado’s three mountain gambling towns reported $57.3 million in adjusted gross proceeds in February. That was about $600,000 less than in February 2008, when there were 29 days in the month instead of 28.
Adjusted gross proceeds are defined as the total of what bettors wagered, minus payouts from casinos.
The 20 casinos in Black Hawk had $41.2 million in adjusted gross proceeds in February, the 16 casinos in Cripple Creek had $11 million, and the six casinos in Central City had about $5 million.
The state says casinos paid $9.4 million in gambling tax proceeds last month.
