Getting your player ready...
From “Gale Gand’s Brunch!” by Gale Gand (Potter). Make it a day in advance so the flavor of the ginger has time to seep into the lemonade. You could replace the ginger with 1 tablespoon dried lavender blossoms, 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves, 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary. Makes about 4 cups.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
Ice cubes
Directions
In a bowl, whisk 2 cups water with the lemon juice, sugar, and ginger until the sugar is dissolved. Let sit overnight in the refrigerator to infuse the ginger flavor.
Just before serving, whisk again and then strain. Fill glasses halfway with ice and pour the lemonade over the ice.
