Denise Burgess, president and general manager of Burgess Services, has been elected chairwoman of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority board.
Burgess, who replaces Jim Basey, is the first woman to be elected chair in the board’s 50-year-history. The board also named three vice chairs: Jim Martinez, Toya Nelson and Jesús Vásquez.
