Two unrelated motorcycle crashes in El Paso County left three people dead today.
Craig J. Emmons, 36, of Chipeta Springs was killed when he crashed into a guard rail on U.S. 24 about five miles west of Manitou Springs at 6:12 p.m., according to the Colorado State Patrol.
He was not wearing a helmet, said Trooper David Hall.
A man and woman were killed at about 3:30 p.m. in Colorado Springs when they rear-ended a van on North Circle Drive near Palmer Park Boulevard, according to police.
Their names were not released.
