A national recall of pistachios rolled into Colorado Tuesday as Kroger-owned stores — King Soopers and City Market among them — in 31 states were affected.
Kroger expanded the “sell by” dates to its recall on Friday of Private Selection Shelled Pistachios because the nuts were supplied by Setton Farms, under investigation by the Food and Drug Administration, and might contain Salmonella.
Recalled sell-by dates for the 10-ounce packages are: DEC-13-09, DEC-14-09 JAN-14-10, FEB-10-10, FEB-11-10 and MAR-23-10. Customers should return the product to the the store for a refund or replacement.
