Sonny Weems has been recalled by the Nuggets, the team said today. The guard/forward has been playing in the NBA Development League with the Colorado 14ers since March 6.
Weems has averaged 20.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in 19 games with the 14ers this season in two stints. The rookie had 36 points and nine rebounds Friday at Erie.
A second-round draft pick by Chicago then traded to Denver, Weems has played in 10 games for the Nuggets, averaging 1.3 points in 4.1 minutes.
