DENVER—Authorities are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man whose body was found inside a burning motel room in Denver.
The man’s body was found Wednesday evening. His name and the cause of death have not been released.
Assistant Fire Chief Greg Champlin says the man checked in to the motel on South Broadway with two other men Wednesday afternoon. He says authorities are still trying to locate the other two.
The fire was reported at about 6:40 p.m. Champlin says the Denver Fire Department has a station nearby, and crews were fighting the blaze within three minutes.
The fire gutted one motel room and damaged two others. Fire and police investigators have not yet determined its cause.
