At the plate

Troy Tulowitzki took some good-natured heat from his teammates when he was the only regular hitting below .300. A late surge, however, has Tulo hitting .315 as the Rockies leave Tucson. He went 3-for-3 with a double.

On the mound

Alan Embree, Ryan Speier and Manuel Corpas all threw scoreless innings in relief. Corpas, who found out Thursday morning he lost the closer’s job to Huston Street, gave up one hit in the eighth. His ERA is 0.90.
