SAGUACHE, Colo.—Authorities say a search is under way for Saguache (suh-WAHCH’) County man who’s been missing since Tuesday.
Saguache County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Torr says 56-year-old Michael Rust was last seen at about 7 p.m. Tuesday riding his motorcycle on a U.S. Forest Service road near his home off of U.S. 285.
Deputies, family members and search and rescue crews combed the area Thursday using motorcycles and a Colorado Air National Guard helicopter. They plan to continue the search Friday.
Torr says Rust left his cell phone at home, and nothing has been found to indicate he was planning to leave for any length of time.
Rust is 5-foot-9, white, about 140 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call Torr or Sheriff Mike Norris at 719-655-2544.
