MONTROSE — Fort Carson officials will take possession of a grenade that a Montrose County man found in his shed.
The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office says Kent Thompson was cleaning his shed on Thursday when he noticed a rag on the shelf.
He unwrapped it and discovered he was holding a grenade.
The Grand Junction bomb squad took the device.
