BOULDER — A Boulder man who police say killed his ex-wife and himself last week sent a text message to his parents moments before the crime, saying his ex-wife was trying to kill him.
According to 911 tapes released Wednesday, Robert Oakley, 39, sent the message to his parents before shooting and killing his ex-wife, Katelin Oakley. Police say Robert Oakley then killed himself. The 911 tapes included a call from Robert Oakley’s father to Boulder police. Godfrey Oakley told police the text said, “She’s trying to kill me.” The Associated Press
