OMAHA, Neb.—The Omaha Royals will celebrate their 2009 home opener with a New Year’s bash.
The Class AAA Royals, the top affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, will host the Albuquerque Isotopes for a four-game series that starts Friday at Rosenblatt Stadium. Game time is 7:05 p.m. CDT.
The home opener will have a New Year’s theme, complete with a ball drop, champagne toast, party favors and post-game fireworks. And, the first 2,500 fans will receive a magnet with the Omaha Royals’ 2009 schedule.
Game times for the rest of the series are 7:05 p.m. Saturday, 1:35 p.m. Sunday and 11:05 a.m. Monday.
