Greenwood Village-based Western Union Co. announced Tuesday that its more than 3,000 current agent locations in the U.S. and 153 locations in Cuba are ready to continue supporting consumers following the decision by the Obama administration to ease restrictions on sending money to family members in Cuba.
Stewart Stockdale, executive vice president and president of the Americas Western Union, said the company is looking to expand its network to serve consumers both in the U.S. and Cuba. Western Union has been providing money transfer services to Cuba since 1999.
