• In a column on Page 2A on Wednesday, Mike Littwin wrote that Attorney General John Suthers, after first alerting the media, said the legislature’s plan to take $500 million from Pinnacol Assurance was legally indefensible. While Senate Majority Leader Brandon Shaffer learned of the legal opinion from a reporter, Suthers’ office says it was delivered to the legislative leadership and governor before an announcement was made.
