KHARTOUM, Sudan — U.S. Sen. John Kerry said Thursday that Sudan has agreed to allow some aid back into Darfur, more than a month after the Sudanese president expelled over a dozen aid groups from the region.

Kerry did not indicate whether any of the aid groups that were expelled would be allowed to return and called on the Sudanese government to fully restore humanitarian assistance to the war-torn western region. He is expected to visit Darfur today.
