OMAHA, Neb.—Former Husker football star Trev Alberts is among four finalists to be athletic director at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Chancellor John Christensen announced the finalists Friday.

The others are:

— Bill Danenhauer, athletic director and football coach at Dana College;

— Mike Marcil, commissioner of the Sunshine State Conference in Orlando, Fla.;

— Nolan Beyer, athletic director at Millard South High School.

Alberts was an All-America defensive end for the Huskers in the early 1990s, and has worked as an analyst for ESPN college football.

Christensen says he hopes to hire someone by the end of the spring semester.

David Miller, the current UNO athletic director, has accepted a similar position at Upper Iowa University.
