Hundreds of residents remained without power at least one more night Sunday because of the spring snowstorm.

At 9 p.m., Xcel Energy still had about 250 metro Denver customers without power, but expected to whittle that to about 50 by 11 p.m., said Xcel spokesman Joe Fuentes.

Boulder had 190 homes and businesses without power, but was expected to have only about 20 by evening’s end.

Crews expect to finish those hookups and about 3,000 in Evergreen today.

Intermountain Rural Electric Association reported Sunday that about 1,500 customers are still without electricity along the U.S. 285 corridor, including Bailey, Conifer and Aspen Park, as well as about 200 customers in Sedalia.

Crews worked all night Saturday and all day Sunday restoring power knocked out by the heavy snowfall.

The storm that swept into Colorado on Friday dropped as much as 52 inches in the Front Range. Staff and wire reports
