The restructured commission would consist of nine members selected from a pool of 25 candidates forwarded by the Supreme Court Nominating Commission. Four members would be appointed by House and Senate leadership, two members would be appointed by the governor, and three members would “elected” by the other six members and must be “unaffiliated” voters.
