A Boulder County horse needed a little help this weekend.
The 11-year old Arabian gelding fell through a 3-inch thick cement cover into a 7-foot well, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release today.
The call came just before noon Sunday, and the Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District and Animal Control officers headed out to the 6900 block South Boulder Road, in unincorporated Boulder County.
Bystanders and veterinarians assisted, and with ropes and farm equipment, the horse was lifted out, the release said.
The animal had only minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
