COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The new headquarters of the U.S. Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs won’t be completed until two months after originally planned, but the USOC says that won’t be a problem.

City officials and developer LandCo Equity Partners told The Gazette newspaper in Friday’s editions that the offices will be ready in late September instead of July 30.

USOC spokesman Darryl Seibel says that as long as the building is finished by December, the agency doesn’t foresee any problems.

An existing building is being renovated and expanded for USOC offices. LandCo says the work was delayed because asbestos removal took longer than expected.

Construction is moving ahead on the project despite a lawsuit and complications over financing.
