LOS ANGELES — Troubled celebrity son Redmond O’Neal was allowed a court-approved visit over the weekend with his mother, actor Farrah Fawcett, who is battling cancer, authorities said Monday.
O’Neal, 24, the son of Fawcett and actor Ryan O’Neal, was arrested this month on charges of trying to smuggle drugs into a county jail, the latest in a string of drug-related arrests.
The meeting between O’Neal and his mother took place Saturday for three hours at Faw cett’s home, supervised by a sergeant and a deputy and costing the county $1,285, which was paid by O’Neal’s family, the sheriff’s office said.
