One last entry from the wayback machine:

There are a couple fundamental issues with seeing live. The band’s fast-paced, keys-heavy songs are difficult to recreate — without a certain amount of lovable messiness — in the live-show format. There’s also the undeniable fact that the band’s very instrumental make-up and penchant for harmonies limit the sounds they can make. These can be dealbreakers for the uninitiated. And some of the kids at the Oriental expressed their disinterest in the band’s headlining set. The super-fans, thought, appreciated the wealth of material covered, from the indie-hit “Fraud in the ’80s” to lesser known tracks such as “Ha Ha.”

Here’s Reverb contributor Lucia de Giovanni’s photo essay from the evening, which started with Judgement Day and moved onto Black Kids and Mates of State.
