WASHINGTON — A pair of Obama autographs — the president’s on his Rolling Stone cover, the first lady’s on her Vogue cover — fetched four figures at Sidwell Friends auction Saturday night. With daughters Sasha and Malia newly enrolled, it was the first time the Obamas donated prizes to the private school’s annual scholarship fundraiser.

Sidwell would not confirm the winning bid but guests said it was between $1,500 and $3,200.

While their autographs commanded an above-market price, it was a far cry from the first time Chelsea Clinton’s dad donated to Sidwell: In 1993, a signed copy of President Bill Clinton’s inaugural address went for $30,000.

When Clinton upped his game two years later by donating himself for a round of golf, a bidder came up with $76,000.
