GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has activated its incident command center to help disseminate information on swine flu.

Colorado still has no confirmed cases, but the department says it opened the center in response to outbreaks elsewhere.

The command center will begin issuing daily updates to the news media between 2 and 3 p.m.

A general information line has been established for residents with health questions. The number is 877-462-2911. Updates also are available on the agency’s Web site.
